I Went Into The UN Mode

I don’t know about you, but I find more excuses the last 5 weeks of the year to slack off from my normal routine that I maintain throughout the year. Knowing myself as well as I do, I KNOW that I live my best life when I have a routine and structure. This routine needs to be a little flexible at times due to things that come up, but for the most part, I’m pretty consistent. This has proven to work for me when it comes to creating a healthy and balanced life. Having routine is when I feel my very best. If I take myself out of my routine for too many days, I become ungrounded, unfocused, unproductive, uncreative, unmotivated and many more “UNS”. It is never a good feeling AND those “UNS” set me back a few steps from reaching my business and personal goals.

Why do I allow myself to go there??? Ohhhhh, that’s right IT’S THE HOLIDAYS. That’s as good of an excuse as any to bring myself into the “UN” mode.

Here’s a list of what I believe causes my “UN” mode:

• More Alcohol 
• More Sugar
• More Carbs
• Less Exercise
• Less Sleep
• Less Energy

We all know that I’m not a scientist, but I know through my research and trainings for EFT, Eden Energy Medicine, and interest in my personal health that those 3 “more” items will more than likely cause those 3 “less” items. I believe “cause and effect” is what the experts would say if they read my list. What always surprises me is that even though I’m aware that those “mores” are what causes the “less”, and the “less” items is what makes me feel better when I have “more” of them, I continue to sabotage myself every year starting at week 46 or 47.

What do I do about this now that I’m aware of what’s happening? Well, I double up on my Daily Energy Routine to stay grounded and connected, “tap” on myself each morning to move my energy and clear whatever stressors I may have carried over from yesterday, along with reaching out to a fellow EFT Practitioner for a session. Most important is to become aware of when I’m over indulging and put the brakes on, show myself compassion, return to my routine and move forward toward my goals and intentions one step at a time.
